An 18-hole par 72 looking out over the Borromean Islands and four lakes. Cool in summer, open all year, 45 minutes from Malpensa and an hour from Ticino.
Designed by Marco Croze and opened in 1987, the course runs across the Alto Vergante, above Stresa and Lesa, on a natural plateau of 73 hectares.
From the 9th green, before you walk back to the clubhouse, the view runs from the Ticino plain to the Simplon Alps and across four pre-Alpine lakes: Maggiore, Varese, Monate and Comabbio.
The altitude is what makes the difference: while the plain climbs past 35°C, up here it stays around 28°C. That is why August plays well here when it plays badly almost everywhere else.

Just over an hour from Ticino. From central Switzerland and southern Germany, Lake Maggiore is the gateway to Italian golf — at green fees that are a fraction of those across the border.
Weddings and ceremonies, corporate dinners, product launches, sponsored tournaments: the lake terrace and the 73 hectares of the course are a rare setting ten minutes from Stresa.
